READING GLOSSARY:THE MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH

GREW RED: Became red because of the anger.

TO SET FOOT: Enter a place.

TO SPREAD: To pass from one area to another.

BIZARRE:Strange.

CAREFREE: Without any problems or worries.

CHIMES: Ringing of a clock to mark the hour.

DARE TO: Have the courage to do something.

DECAY: No longer fresh.

DIZZINESS: A feeling of head turning round, and loss of balance.

DRIPPING: Falling in small drops.

TO GRAB: To take roughly.

TO POUR: To cause liquid to flow.
