4TH ESO THIRD TERM SELF-ASSESSMENT

Hi, dear bretonians. I can't believe that is is going to be my last post in this blog but, you know, all things come to an end. I'm quite confused right now, because on the one hand, I'm sure that I'm gonna miss my classmates, my teachers and this high school in general. I still can remember some of my lessons or trips in first of ESO . Time flies... But, on the other hand, I really want to meet new people at my new high school. Hope everything goes well next year...

Anyway, today I'm going to do my self-assessment.

As you can imagine, this term has been really hard because we had to take  plenty of exams and  to make many projects in a very short period of time. However, I'm quite happy with my results because all my effort has being paid off.

In English we've learnt many interesting things about culture such as the history of manners or the new transport that will be developed during the following years. Now, I can write a formal email with the correct linking and sequencing words. Cristina has also taught us different vocabulary about manners,the weather. reporting verb and even plenty of phrasal verbs. But my favourite part was creating the "Tomas Bretón memories video" which I have uploaded yesterday. Watching my classmates' projects was great too! There are amazing ones!

In ICT we have made a video imitating a famous portrait. Mine was "The Lady with an Ermine". This project was quite interesting because we learnt how to use an amazing app called Canvia. I have really enjoyed during this lessons.

In PE each one  had to design a PE lesson on his/her own. I did it about Acrosport. I liked this project because we had to explain it in English in front of the class so we learnt some new expressions and we had a great time playing all together. 

I think that my English has improved a lot during these four years and I'm quite happy with the level that I have because I can understand easily a conversation in English and I'm able to speak in this language without many difficulties.

I won't never forger these high school years, they've been great.

4TH ESO SECOND TERM SELF-ASSESSMENT

This second term was quite hard because we had many exams and projects to do in a short period of time. However, I'm quite proud of myself because I managed to organise my time.

In English we've learnt plenty of things. Not only vocabulary or expressions but also about culture.
Now, I can write essays related with energies and I'm able to describe a device. We've learnt how does the brain work,or some traditional African dances. In the 4th united we've studied some phrasal verbs, adjectives and even vocabulary about aches and pains! We've also talked about healthy habits and tips to exam success. I think all of us have participated a lot in class. That's because we're only 7 people in English lessons, so all of us have the opportunity to practise a lot. This is quite helpful for us and I find it an advantage. Lessons are very enjoyable and useful.

In ICT we've learnt how to use Inkscape, a program to make logos,and its key terms and how to create a data base. We've also made a gif and an activity with 1st of ESO. This lessons were also very entertaining and dynamic. I had a great time during this term in this subject.

In PE Chuchi taught us how to play badminton, American football and even rugby! We've also made some dances. And, of course, we've learnt more things about healthy lifestyle. His classes are just amazing.

What I liked most is the Gothic literature project. Researching information was very interesting and doing it with my classmates Marta and Carlos was a pleasure.

 Now I can understand easily a day to day conversation, an article or an essay. I'm also able to have a conversation with my classmates and teachers.I'm really happy with my results in every skill and I'm not confused about anything because I studied hard for my exams and I tried to do my best.  However, next term I'll do it better.

I love English so I'm always listening to music in this language or watching series and movies in original version because I think watching them translated is not the same than watching them in the original language.


Next term will be the last one so I'm quite sad and, because of that, I'll try to enjoy it as much as possible. I'm sure I'm gonna miss my English lessons, my teachers and, of course, my classmates.

4TH ESO FIRST TERM SELF-ASSESSMENT

This term has been quite hard in general because we had lots of things to do from different subjects.


In English classes I've learnt plenty of new expressions and vocabulary related to personality and advertising. Now I can distinguish between a toxic friend and a good friend, talk about cyberbullying or write a formal letter. Also Cristina and Michael taught us some idioms. Some of them are really curious and I find them very useful. Most of them where new for me!!! As we are only 7 students this year, everyone talks a lot and this way we improve our speaking, which I think is really important.

In ICT we learnt how to create a Sway presentation, how to edit images with GIMP and lots of key terms about this apps. It was really interesting!!

In PE Chuchi taught us how to play handball, badminton and basketball, and how to strecht correctly. Also we  learnt some vocabulary about these sports and healthy food.

What I liked most is "Heal the world videoclip" because working with the kids in first of ESO was great and the final result is quite well.

In general I'm quite happy with all the skills. My favourites are listening, grammar and translation but all of them are really useful!!!

I'm not confused about anything because I think I have studied enough for my English exams and I did my best but of course I can improve next term and I will try to do it.

Outside the class I'm always listening to music, watching videos on the internet or just browsing the web! I love English so I'm always practising it at home.

I should update my blog as soon as possible, but for me this is really difficult because I have to do a lot of things every week . Finally I managed to post everything so I'm quite proud of myself.

I learnt a lot about culture in English classes, like social media and apps created to fight against cyberbullying, the history of advertising, lots of idioms...

MY FINAL SELF-ASSESSMENT

This school year has been very special for me. I think I've learnt a lot and I met amazing people. Although it has been more difficult that last one, this year was fantastic.

I'm sure that I've improved my English a lot because I learnt a lot of vocabulary and expressions that were new for me. I've worked very hard and the results were great, so that means that if you work hard, you'll get good marks.  Cristina made classes very dynamic and entertaining and she has taught us a lot of things. Also, games with Clarissa were very cool and fun, everyone had an incredible time playing all together. The projects were quite entertaining. My favourite one was "Can't stop the feeling " video because it was our first project and everybody loved it.

In Geography I've learnt a lot of interesting things about the European Union, the secondary sector, the tertiary sector, climates, population, forms of government, economy... Teresa helped us a lot because with her explanations everything was easier. Studying Geography in English wasn't as difficult as all of us believed and we've learnt many useful things and many vocabulary in English. I thing that my English level has improved a lot because of belonging to the bilingual section.

In PE we have practised many different sports (like basketball, football, badminton...) and we've learnt some physical skills like endurance, stamina, flexibility. This subject was really enjoyable and we did many fun things.

Finally, I wanted to say thank you to everyone because we have had an unforgettable year. Hope next one will be as good as this one or even better!!

SECOND TERM SELF-ASSESSMENT

I think during this second term I learnt a lot of English: new expressions and vocabulary about money, adjectives, crimes and criminals... Now I can describe a picture in a better way, write an essay...
In geography we learnt a lot of vocabulary related to the government and the different political systems in the world. Also Teresa taught us some specific vocabulary about economy and primary sector.Now I can talk about agricultural landscapes and the different types of livestock farming, fishing, forestry...
In PE, Alberto taught us how to do acrosport and how to play football in the correct way. We learnt some theory related to acrosport and physical exercise and its benefits to our body.

What I liked most is listening to my partners' presentations about different countries because I learnt a lot of things about each country that I didn't know so it was quite interesting.

I think I've studied enough for my exams so I did them well. I also did all my homework and I tried to update my blog as soon as I could.

I'm not confused about anything, I'm quiet happy with my work during this term.

Outside class, I'm always listening to music in English, watching videos on youtube...
I also enjoy watching my favourite films in English or reading those books that I liked or even new ones. I love practising my English in my free time.

I learnt a lot about culture in English classes like The Maori culture, the special cuisine of Trinidad and Tobago. In geography, as I said before we learnt about government and states around the world, economy systems and the primary sector.

In general, I can say that in this term I learnt a lot and I worked hard too, so I'm quite proud of myself. In the next term I'm sure that I'm going to learn even more things.
